You should be able to convert dog biscuit recipes to
your bread machine. If you have a 1 1/2 lb. machine,
use about 1 cup liquid (eggs count as a scant 1/4 cup
liquid) and a total of 3 cups of dry ingredients
(flour and grains).  If the mixture is too stiff for
your machine to mix easily, add 1 to 2 tbsp. more
  liquid. Hope this helps.
This note was formated by Ursula R. Taylor...Note
from Ursula - using this method - use only dough
cycle, then remove and roll or pat dough out and bake
  in the oven....

   6       tb           Meat drippings
   1                    Egg, beaten
     1/2   c            Ice water

My dogs prefer fish flavored granulated bouillon, but
you can use any flavor you wish.  Combine it and the
rest of the dry ingredients. Cut in drippings until
mixture resembles cornmeal.  Mix in egg. Add just
enough water to make mixture form a ball. Pat (or
roll) dough to 1/2" thick and cut into desired shapes.
Small dogs (like mine) like bite sized pieces like
stars about the size of a quarter.  The general rule
is, the bigger the dog, the bigger the "cookie". The
"10 servings" are for 6 inch bones.  Place on a
lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 25 to 30

ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Makes about
15 (3 inch) cookies. Let cool and air dry for 24 hours before starting to
dry and harden, otherwise they will become moldy. They can be stored in
the freezer for months. Food coloring can be added for seasonal variety.
Freshly baked biscuits can be eaten by humans as is. Stale biscuits need
to be dunked in your favorite warm beverage. You and your dog will love
them. Do not bake 2 trays on different levels at the same time - bottom
tray WILL burn! Cookies can touch on trays as they will shrink some. Metal
lids and bottle caps make great cookie cutters. from: cbusa

minutes. Roll dough out to a 1/2-inch-thick rectangle.
Cut into desired shapes with a cookie cutter. Brush
with beaten egg whites and, if desired, sprinkle with
  sesame seeds.

  4. Bake in a preheated 350'F oven until firm and
golden, about 30 minutes (reduce baking time if you
  rolled biscuits thinly).

NOTE: These biscuits are best if they are air-dried
for 3 or 4 days before being stored in a plastic bag
  or container.

SIMPLE HERBAL GIFTS: GINGHAM DOG & CALICO CAT

Recipe By     :
Serving Size  : 1    Preparation Time :0:00
Categories    : Seasonings

Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method
--------  ------------  --------------------------------
          ---CAT  BLEND-------------------------
   2       oz           Dried pennyroyal
   1       oz           Dried catnip
   1       oz           Chamomile

---DOG BLEND-------------------------
   2       oz           Dried pennyroyal
   1       oz           Dried thyme
   1       oz           Dried wormwood
   3       dr           Pennyroyal oil

Note: Each ounce of dried herbs is equal to about 2
  cups.

Use whole or cut herbs.  This mixture can be refreshed
by adding fresh oil from time to time.

Make small sachets for small, tidy pets, or stuff the
whole amount into a large denim pillow for larger,
itchier animal friends. Pennyroyal is especially
  effective as a flea repellent.

[Karen's note: The photo in the magazine shows a
gingham bag and a flower-print bag.  Both have the top
edges pinked, and are tied with ribbon.]
